The Morakniv Companion (S) is a classic Swedish all-round knife. With a blade length of approx. 10cm, it is big enough to do all common tasks. With a total length of approx. 24cm including the sheath, it still fits in almost every pocket.
The scabbard is made from a single piece of plastic. This makes it very robust and protects the knife very well. The knife is inserted into the sheath with a slight pressure and engages noticeably with a click. This keeps it safe and prevents it from falling out unintentionally. With the clip attached at the top, the scabbard can be hung on a belt or the edge of a bag.
The handle of the knife is also made of plastic. It is rubberized in the middle. As a result, it offers a perfect hold and the knife can be guided safely. The processing leaves nothing to be desired. All edges are free of burrs. You won't find "Made in China" here. The knife is made entirely in Sweden.
The blade is made of stainless steel. It has a thickness of 2.5mm and is sharpened on both sides. This makes the knife suitable for both right-handed and left-handed users. However, the sheath is designed for right-handed people, as there is only one locking position of the knife.
The blade is already very sharp when delivered. Whether it's a lunch knife or a carving knife, the knife is ideally suited for every task. CONCLUSION: The Morakniv Companion is actually suitable for everyone. Due to the excellent price-performance ratio, I can recommend it unreservedly. The workmanship is very good. Whether fishing trip, hunting or hiking. It must not be missing anywhere. Since the look is not too military and the knife is available in many colors, you can easily take it with you on a picnic.
