I’ve used a lot of flashlights over the years, but the Olight Ark Pro has quickly become one of my favorite everyday carry lights. I wanted something slim enough to keep in my pocket, bright enough for real work, and versatile enough to use around the house, shop, campground, and range. After spending time with the Ark Pro, it’s one of the few lights I actually carry every day instead of leaving in the toolbox.

Slim design that actually works for EDC
One of the first things you notice about the Ark Pro is the flat design. Instead of being a round tube like most flashlights, it’s shaped more like a pocket knife or multitool, so it sits flat in your pocket and doesn’t roll around.
The light is only about 4.9 inches long and weighs just over 4 ounces, which makes it easy to carry all day without noticing it.
For everyday carry, this design makes a huge difference. I can clip it in my pocket, throw it in a range bag, or keep it on my nightstand without it being bulky.
Extremely bright for such a small light
For a compact flashlight, the Ark Pro is seriously powerful.
It can produce up to about 1500–1700 lumens, which is more than enough for working outside at night, checking property, camping, or lighting up a whole room.
It also has multiple brightness levels, so you can go from a very dim moonlight mode all the way to full power. That’s nice because you’re not always trying to blind yourself when you just need a little light.
I use the lower modes around the house and the high mode when I’m outside or working in the shop.
Four tools in one flashlight
This is where the Ark Pro really stands out.
It’s not just a flashlight — it has four different light sources built in:
- Flood light for wide area lighting
- Spotlight for distance
- UV light
- Green laser pointer
All of these can be used separately or combined depending on what you need.
The UV light is handy for inspections, finding leaks, or checking things you normally wouldn’t see.
The laser is great for pointing things out, training, or just messing around with friends.
It’s one of those tools you don’t think you need until you have it, then you use it all the time. One of my favorite crowd pleasers is to use this to point at an item behind the counter at the convenience store or gun shop. It avoids the “no one lower, two to the left” interaction that seems all too frequent. The clerk always gets a kick out of the laser directing them.
Charging is simple and fast
Another thing I really like is the charging setup.
The Ark Pro has USB-C charging and magnetic charging, so you can use whichever is easier.
That means you don’t have to carry a special cable, which is something that always annoyed me with older lights. Battery life has been great so far, especially on the lower settings. On the lowest mode it can last days, not hours. The battery life truly is impressive.
Built tough enough for real use
This light feels solid. The body is made from aluminum alloy with a one-piece construction, so it doesn’t feel cheap or fragile.
It’s also water resistant and built for everyday use, not just sitting in a drawer.
I’ve carried mine while working, camping, and shooting, and it still looks new.
Why I keep this one in my pocket
What makes the Ark Pro different is that it actually replaces multiple tools.
Instead of carrying:
- a flashlight
- a laser
- a UV light
- a bigger work light
I just carry this one.
It’s bright, compact, easy to use, and tough enough for real life, not just for show.
Magnet charging port doubles as a magnetic attachment point for working under the hood or on home projects. As long as there is something metal to stick it too, it works great as a third hand to direct the light!
Tips
I do recommend reading the manual for this light. There are some hidden features that you will miss if you do not read it. A couple features that I missed out on are the locking feature, moonlight mode, and quick change to turbo mode.
All of these features are accessed by different button holding / multiple presses on the main button.
Final thoughts
The Olight Ark Pro is one of the best everyday carry flashlights I’ve used.
It’s powerful, slim, versatile, and built like a real tool.
If you want one light that can do almost everything, this is a good one to look at.
It’s the kind of flashlight you buy once and end up using every day.
