Speras EST MIC – Small Light, Serious Performance

I have been carrying the Speras EST MIC for a while now, and for its size this little light is simply impressive. At first glance it looks more like a pen than a flashlight. But once you turn it on, it becomes clear very quickly that this is a surprisingly capable piece of gear.

For such a compact light, the performance is outstanding.

Size vs Power

EST MIC compared to a AA battery

With a maximum output of 700 lumens, the EST MIC is incredibly bright for a flashlight of this size. It easily lights up a large area and feels much more powerful than you would expect from something so small.

The beam also has a nice reach. It’s not just a wide flood – it actually throws a respectable distance, making it useful not only for close work but also for scanning an area outdoors.

For a compact EDC flashlight, that combination of brightness and throw is impressive.

Simple and Reliable Operation

The operation is very straightforward. The light uses a tail switch, which makes it easy to activate quickly.

This is something I personally like because it also works well with gloves, which is important when using gear outdoors or during colder weather.

The different brightness levels cover a wide range of situations:

  • 700 lumen high mode for maximum output
  • 100 lumen medium mode
  • 5 lumen low mode for close tasks or preserving night vision

The low mode is especially useful for working in the dark without blinding yourself.

Long Runtime on Low Mode

One thing I really like about this light is its efficiency in low mode.

At 5 lumens, the flashlight can run for around 50 hours, which makes it great for longer tasks, working on gear, or emergency situations.

This turns the EST MIC from just a bright pocket light into a very practical everyday tool.

USB-C Charging with Hidden Port

Charging is done via USB-C, which is always convenient since most people already carry USB-C cables.

The charging port is hidden on the side of the flashlight and can be accessed by slightly twisting the head of the lamp. This is a smart design choice because it keeps the port protected from dirt and moisture while maintaining a clean and solid construction.

Clip and Cap Mount Option

The EST MIC comes with a sturdy two-way pocket clip.

One nice feature is that you can attach it to the brim of a cap, effectively turning it into a simple hands-free headlamp. This works surprisingly well for quick repairs, camping tasks, or working with both hands.

It’s a small detail, but a very practical one.

Build Quality

The flashlight feels solid and well made. The metal body gives it a robust feel despite its lightweight design.

Everything fits together nicely and the mechanism for accessing the charging port works smoothly. Overall, the build quality inspires confidence for everyday carry. It has a changeable 10440 lithium battery with 350mAh.

Final Thoughts

The Speras EST MIC proves that a flashlight doesn’t have to be big to be powerful.

It combines:

  • impressive brightness for its size
  • a beam with useful reach
  • simple and reliable operation
  • USB-C charging
  • long runtime on low
  • excellent portability

It can act as a small but powerful thrower with 700 lumens, but also as a fine work light with 5 lumens and very long runtime.

Because of its compact size, it’s a flashlight you can easily carry anywhere. And that’s exactly what makes it so useful.
